关于召开“全国高校数学专业分析类课程
教学研讨会”的第一次通知
为了推进高校数学分析课程的建设和改革，改进教学方法，进一步提高教学质量，由华东师范大学数学系、高等教育出版社共同主办的“全国高校数学专业分析类课程教学研讨会” 定于2011年7月11—14日在上海召开，会议将围绕数学专业分析类（数学分析、实变函数与泛函分析、复变函数）课程的教学内容建设、教学方法的改革与创新、教学资源建设与共享组织专家报告和交流研讨。具体事宜安排如下：
一、研讨主题和内容
1. 数学分析、复变函数、实变函数与泛函分析课程的教学内容和教学方法；
2. 分析类课程相关教学资源的建设；
3. 会议拟邀请华东师范大学张奠宙教授、庞学诚教授，北京大学李忠教授，复旦大学陈纪修教授，北京师范大学王昆扬教授等作相关课程的报告；
4. 围绕分析类课程教学的热点问题、相关教学资源的建设与共享展开研讨交流，希望在会上作30分钟交流报告的教师，请将电子文档发至lirui@Hep.com.cn。

摘 要: Beilinson-Lusztig-MacPherson (BLM) realized quantum $\frak{gl}_n$ using $q$-Schur algebras. We will study the BLM realization problem of quantum affine $\frak{gl}_n$. Moreover we will study the polynomial representation of quantum affine $\frak{gl}_n$ over $\mathbb C$. In particular we will classify finite dimensional irreducible representation of affine $q$-Schur algebras over $\mathbb C$, where $q=v^2$ and $v\in\mathbb C$ is not a root of unity. This is joint work with Bangming Deng and Jie Du.

摘 要: Deligne-Lusztig varieties are some locally closed subvarieties of a flag
variety. They were introduced by Deligne and Lusztig in 1976 and play a key role in the study of representations of finite groups of Lie type. An open problem is whether or not all the Deligne- Lusztig varieties are

摘 要: A fundamental theorem in classical harmonic analysis says that the spaces of homogeneous harmonic polynomials (solutions of Laplace equation) are irreducible modules of the corresponding orthogonal Lie algebra and the whole polynomial algebra is a free module over the invariant polynomials generated by harmonic polynomials. This actually forms an (sl(2); o(n)) Howe duality. In this talk, we will present super symmetric (sl(2); gl(n|m)) and (sl(2); sp(n|2m))-generalizations
in connection with non-canonical oscillator representations, where the irreducible submodules are characterized as homogeneous solution subspaces of super symmetric versions of Laplace equation, and the dual invariant super symmetric differential operators give complete reducibility of certain spaces of homogeneous super symmetric polynomials.

Cyclic Homology of Strong Smash Product Algebras
For any strong smash product algebra A#RB of two algebras A and B with a bijective
morphism R mapping from B
A to A
B, we construct a cylindrical module A\B whose
diagonal cyclic module (A\B) is graphically proven to be isomorphic to C(A#RB) the
cyclic module of the algebra. A spectral sequence is established to converge to the cyclic
homology of A#RB. Examples are provided to show how our results work. Particularly, the
cyclic homology of the Pareigis' Hopf algebra is obtained in the way. This is a joint work
with Haihong Hu.

Canonical bases, perverse sheaves and Ringel-Hall algebras
In this talk, we will discuss perverse sheaves, canonical bases of quntum groups, Ringel-Hall
algebras and the relation between them. We will also construct ane canonical bases by the
representations of ane quiver. Furthermore, the canonical bases of the positive part of the
quantum extended Kac-Moody algebras are constructed.

Stable categories of Cohen-Macaulay modules and Cluster categories
We will compare two well-known classes of Calabi-Yau triangulated categories in representation
theory. One is the stable categories of maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules over
Gorenstein isolated singularities (Auslander-Reiten), and the other is the cluster categories
of certain nite dimensional algebras (Keller, Amiot, Guo). We will construct triangle equivalences
between them. The key role is played by cluster tilting theory, which is Calabi-Yau
analogue of tilting theory. This is a joint work with Amiot and Reiten.

Irreducible Characters for Algebraic Groups in Characteristic Three
By using a theorem of Xi Nanhua and the Matlab software, we determine the irreducible
characters for the simple algebraic groups of type A5 over an algebraically closed eld K
of characteristic 3. In this talk, I will explain how to obtain these results e ectively. Some
observation from the results will be also given.

On a conjecture of Lusztig for the function a
Let H be the Iwahori-Hecke algebra of a Coxeter system (W; S) with unequal parameters.
Lusztig de ned two functions a and a0 on W with values in N [ f1g and conjectured that
the equation a = a0 holds under the assumption that the values of a on W is bounded. In
my talk, I rst give a negative answer to the conjecture of Lusztig by providing a counterexample
in the case where W is the ane Weyl group of type e A10, then I formulate a new
conjecture on the function a and provide some examples to support my conjecture.

Positivity of certain polynomials and relative decomposition matrices
Recently, Brundan and Kleshchev showed by using KLR algebras that cyclotomic Hecke
algebras are graded algebras. On the other hand, Geck and Rouquier showed the existence
of a relative decomposition map between q = generic and q = a root of unity. Combining
the two, it is natural to expect the existence of its graded analogue in some sense. For that
to hold, the rst necessary condition is the positivity of certain polynomials. I explain that
the positivity actually holds. This is a joint work with Jacon and Lecouvey.

The Onsager algebra was rst found in the study of free energy of 2D Ising model in 1940s.
In 1980s it reappeared in the study of solvable models in 2D eld theories. After reviewing

Induction and Restriction functors for cyclotomic q-Schur algebras
In this talk, we de ne induction and restriction functors between cyclotomic q-Schur algebra
of rank n and of rank n + 1. Then I will talk about some properties of such functors and
relations with (higher level) Fock spaces.

Character sheaves associated to the enhanced nilpotent cone
Let V be an n dimensional vector space over a nite eld Fq, and G = GL(V ) with Frobenius
map F on G and on V . We construct certain simpel perverse sheaves on G V r1, which
are G-equivariant with respect to the diagonal action of G, and call them character sheaves
associated to the enhanced nilpotent cone N V r1, where N is the usual nilpotent cone
on V . Then we de ne Green functions by making use of those character sheaves, which are
GF -invariant functions on (N V r1)F . We show that such Green functions are closely
related to the Kostka functions associated to the complex re
ection group G(r; 1; n).

Let G be a ltered Lie conformal algebra whose associated graded conformal algebra is
isomorphic to that of general conformal algebra gc1. We will prove that G = gc1 or gr gc1.

Murakami-Wenzl algebras
This is a joint work with H.Rui. In this talk, we determine the blocks of cyclotomic NW
algebras (resp. cyclotomic BMW algebras) when the degenerate cyclotomic Hecke algebras
(resp. Ariki-Koike algebras ) are semisimple over the eld. Then we can give a necessary and
sucient condition on non-vanishing Gram determinants for cyclotomic NW and cyclotomic
BMW algebras over an arbitrary eld. Equivalently, we give a necessary and sucient
condition for each cell module of such algebras being equal to its simple head over an arbitrary
eld.

Gauss sums on nite groups
The classical Gauss sum is de ned as a sum over a nite eld. In this talk, giving a de nition
of a Gauss sum over a nite group G associated with a pair of an ordinary represntation and
a modular representaion of G, we give an explicit formula for the complex refelection group
G(m; 1; n). Survey of relating results and other examples will also be given.

Hidden Hecke Algebras and Duality
I will talk about Hecke algebras which are hidden in q-Schur algebras of type A.
We can show that those hidden Hecke algebras are de ned as Yoneda algebras of some simple
modules, are isomorphic to some Ariki-Koike algebras, and depend only on the derived
equivalence classes of q-Schur algebra blocks.
I would like to talk about a conjectural role of this hidden Hecke algebra in representation
theory. If I have enough time, I would like to talk about the higher level analogue.

2010 ECNU Workshop and summer school on Geometric Analysis

The summer school plan to consist of 3 series of talks given by active mathematicians working in geometric analysis, including the topics of geometric analysis on Ricci Flow, Sobolev embedding and related theorys. It will include the talks given by Professor Zhiqing Lu(May 21-28) from University of California Irvine, Qi Zhang(June 23-July 2) from Riverside University in U.S. A. and Professor Emmanuel Hebey(July 5-9) from Cergy-Pontoise University in France respectively.
The purpose of the workshop is to disseminate current research developments in geometric analysis and related fields to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and mathematicians interested in the area. We hope to bring together students and mathematicians working in the areas of geometric analysis in an environment conducive to beginning and continuing research collaborations and dissemination.
The workshop schedule plan to consist of several one hour or so talks per day from July 5 to July 9. Participants are encouraged to engage in informal discussions between and after the lectures. Depending on participant interest, informal talks may on occasion be scheduled later.

“图像分析中的数学方法”国际讨论会

"Mathematical Methods in Imaging and Image Analysis"

随着计算机功能的突飞猛进，在各个应用领域及工程技术中（如卫星遥感、医学、军事、安全等）涌现出大量的数字图像（包括灰色图像、彩色图像及遥感中出现的多频道图像等）。如何采取有效、快速的方法将数字图像中的有用信息提取出来就成为十分重要课题。90年代以来国内外已经逐渐形成了一门以现代数学的最新成果为基础的数字图像分析的新技术，发展态势方兴未艾。
在国家杰出青年基金（B类）获得者桂长峰教授和沈纯理教授倡导下，现计划在2006年6月20日至6月22日在我校举办名为“图像分析中的数学方法”国际讨论会。会议由我校数学系和数学所联合筹办。会议的目的是将数学家、工程师及在医学领域中的专家学者结合起来探究在数字图像、尤其是生物医学图像中的实际课题, 交流他们在数学图像分析中的所获得的新想法、新成果。讨论会的主要议题包括了: 在图像分析技术方面的挑战和发展；在图像去模糊、图像分割、匹配校正及图像重建中的数学模型（包括偏微分方程、概率、统计及几何方法）；图像分析的数值方法及计算算法等。

第二届华东偏微分方程会议(2ndECpde)
第二届华东偏微分方程会议将于2005年7月4日至8日在华东师范大学举行。会议的目的是汇集国内外偏微分方程，特别是椭圆/抛物型方程及相关学科的专家、学者共同介绍、研讨他们的研究领域的新进展及新动向，并加强彼此之间的相互了解与合作。 第一届华东偏微分方程会议已于2004年7月5日至9日在南京大学现代数学研究所举行。会议以后每年举行一次。我们希望能够为华东地区的研究生和年青的研究人员 提供更多的接触到那些活跃在该研究领域最前沿的专家、学者并了解他们的工作的机会。

《全国教育数学学会第二届常务理事会及教育数学论文交流会》
第一次通知
教育数学学会自2004年5月成立以来已近一年，一年来在广州大学和常务理事会常设机构的努力下学会工作逐步进入正轨。为了进一步开展工作，办好《教育数学及数学技术学报》，根据教育数学学会章程的要求，决定在2005年5月下旬在华东师范大学召开“第二届常务理事会及教育数学论文交流会”。
会议议程：
由“第二届常务理事会”和“教育数学论文交流会”两部分组成。
一、“第二届常务理事会”的主要议程是：
1、常务理事会工作报告；
2、增补理事及常务理事；
3、讨论《教育数学及数学技术学报》的征稿、出版发行等有关事宜；
4、成立各个专业小组、讨论成立各地区的分会的问题；
5、收缴理事及常务理事的年费。

The Seventh Pacific Rim Geometry Conference
第七届泛太平洋地区几何国际会议
Second Announcement 第二次通知
The main purpose of the conference is to bring together researchers from Pacific Rim countries that are interested in areas related to geometry. The conference serves as a mean to disseminate the most recent research developments and to cultivate working relationships among its participants. It will focus on the analytic aspect of geometry and its applications to other branches of sciences especially in mathematical physics.
The first Pacific Rim Geometry Conference was held in Hong Kong in December 1992. The success of the Hong Kong meeting garnered enthusiastic support in having future Pacific Rim Geometry Conferences in a continuous and rotating basis. This resulted in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and the 6th Pacific Rim Geometry Conferences held in Singapore (1994), Seoul (1996), Vancouver (1998), Sendai (2000), Hong Kong(2002) respectively.

“中文TeX与数学网站交流会”于2004年7月9日至11日在我系举行, 会议地点是华东师范大学理科大楼A1414室。 会议得到数学天元基金资助。
陈志杰教授主持会议，王建磐校长出席会议并作了讲话。 肖刚教授作了“WIMS和非同步考试理论”的大会报告，CCT开发者张林波教授以及国内中文TeX、数学网站的主持等先后发言，就中文TeX与数学网站建设等作了十分有效的探讨。会议共有40多名来自全国各地的TeX专家出席，还有20多名来自本市的TeX专家或爱好者参加。我系另有沈纯理、赵书钦、韩士安、万福永等教师到会。

华东师范大学数学研究所建所十周年
暨复几何及相关的数学理论国际会议在我校召开
《华东师范大学数学研究所建所十周年暨复几何及相关的数学理论国际会议》将于6月21日至25日在我校召开。
出席会议的有世界多个国家和地区的100多位代表。国际著名数学家、我校名誉教授、菲尔兹奖获得者、美国哈佛大学丘成桐教授将参加会议开幕式，并做1小时题为：《复几何的历史及前景》的学术报告。
开幕式上，王建磐校长将授予丘成桐教授华东师范大学名誉教授证书并讲话。
丘成桐教授是享誉世界的数学家，也是唯一的华人菲尔兹数学奖得主。他除了在数学科学研究上取得的卓越成就外，他同时还为推广香港和内地的数学与科学教育作出诸多贡献。2003年度丘成桐教授荣获“中华人民共和国国际科学技术合作奖”。
出席会议的有：华东师范大学数学研究所所长、我校紫江学者、美国伊利诺斯大学芝加哥分校丘成栋教授，哈佛大学、美国科学院院士、中国科学院外籍院士萧荫棠教授，哈佛大学、美国工程院院士 Roger Brockett 教授，香港大学数学研究所所长莫毅明教授等世界著名数学家，以及复旦大学谷超豪、胡和生、李大潜、洪家兴等院士，上海市数学会理事长姜礼尚教授等国内著名数学家，还有中科院数学所、复旦大学、上海交通大学、南京大学、同济大学、首都师大等高校的专家、代表。
会议期间将有20多个学术报告。
这次国际盛会对提升我校在数学界的地位，加强国内外学术交流，促进我校数学学科的发展将起到重要的推动作用。

数学教学理论和教材建设研讨会专题
自上世纪90年代末开始的全国性教学改革，已经积累了许多有益的经验，产生了不少成果，同时也应看到，许多好的成果还“养在深闺无人知”，在高等教育迅速发展的今天，我们应该尽快将教改成果进行全方面的交流，扩大教改成果的影响力。
这次由华东师范大学数学系、华东师范大学理科基地和科学出版社发起召开的《数学教学理论和教材建设研讨会》，取得了圆满的成功.

中文TeX与数学网站交流会第一次通知
我们拟利用肖刚教授回国的机会召开一次中文TeX与数学网站交流会”, 时间初步定为2003年7月10日至12日, 地点在华东师范大学. 会议得到数学天元基金资助. 对特邀的参加者，不需支付会议期间的食宿费用. 对自由报名的参加者，我们会根据经费的情况考虑提供部分资助.
本次会议目前已经得到CCT开发者张林波教授以及国内中文TeX网站的主持者的支持. 我们欢迎各位中文TeX的软件开发者或使用者前来参加, 也欢迎数学网站的主持者前来参加. 各位也可把本通知转发给对此主题感兴趣的人.
希望有意参加的人与我们联系, 欢迎在会上作报告或展示作品. 请告诉我们你的报告或展示的题目, 以便统计参加人数以及发出第二次通知. 也欢迎大家对会议的内容和开法提出建议以及推荐邀请参加者.
